Fernán Altuve-Febres Lores

Fernán Altuve-Febres Lores (Lima, 1968) is a Peruvian jurist, historian, and politician. He is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Spain and a Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences in Madrid. Since 2015, he has served as President of the Peruvian Historical Society and the Fundación Ugarte del Pino.
He holds a Law degree from the Universidad de Lima, and a Master’s and PhD in Philosophy from UNMSM. He has taught at universities and military academies, and has practised as a lawyer since 1993, being recognised as one of Peru’s leading arbitrators.
He served as a Member of Congress (2000–2001) and as a Lima City Councillor (2010–2014). Author of works such as La monarquía sin corona and Los conservadores, he is noted for his conservative political thought.
