Founding Meeting: History and Iberian-Oriented Thought

On Wednesday, 20 September, we held an informal meeting at the Real Centro Universitario María Cristina de El Escorial, aimed at finalising the mission and vision of Escuela Hispánica for the future. It was also a gathering of friends and collaborators with a long history of work on Late Scholasticism, the Hispanic legacy of political and economic thought, and related topics.
All of this took place at the foot of the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial; a setting highly emblematic of the notion of Hispanidad and ideal for discussing not only operational and organisational matters but also political thought from a historical perspective, in order to explore the ideas of the scholastics from the Schools of Salamanca, Coimbra, and Évora.
