Carroll Ríos de Rodríguez

Carroll Ríos de Rodríguez is a Guatemalan economist and university professor, specialising in economic policy analysis, economic development, and history. She earned a Master’s in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., USA.
She is a Public Choice Professor at the Institute for Political Studies and International Relations at Universidad Francisco Marroquín (UFM). She is also co-founder and President of the Instituto Fe y Libertad, an organisation dedicated to promoting human flourishing through individual liberty and Judeo-Christian principles.
Her research focuses on comparative politics, history, and economic development. She is the author of Financial Crisis, Populism, and the Path to Prosperity in Latin America, published by the Acton Institute in Argentina. Her articles have appeared in publications such as Perfiles Liberales, Regulation Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.
She has also contributed as a columnist to Siglo 21 and Contra Poder magazine. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Socio-Economic Studies (CEES), the Association for Family, Development, and Population (FADEP), and the Mont Pèlerin Society.
